Die Freischwimmer are at the heart of Team GreenSpirit’s entry into The Ocean Race – a global talking point merging professionalism, adventure, teamwork, sportsmanship, technology and engagement for our planet and for diversity.
The challenge
Of course Team GreenSpirit aims for victory in The Ocean Race.
We have to overcome hot climate zones as well as icy temperatures, freezing nights, stormy up to 5 storey waves, extreme winds exhaustion, possible injuries and disputes – this is the toughest team event in professional sport.

But on top of that our team challenge is to spread a message around the world:
We can reduce the amount of damaging the environment by replacing old technologies and old habits.
Everybody, wherever on earth, can do something to protect our planet for future generations.
Our mission
A team driven by a vision of a better world, where nations and generations work together, where male and female talents are estimated and complement each other, where conservation of nature is ultimate ambition to preserve quality of life on earth.

We have a passion for innovation and we believe that change is possible.
